Ernst Primosch appointed new CEO at Hill & Knowlton Germany
Ernst Primosch (50), renowned communications and brand expert, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hill & Knowlton Germany, effective July 1. Until recently he has been Global Corporate Vice President of the Henkel Group. „We are thrilled to have found an outstanding international communicator and one of the DAX communication managers”, says Chairman and CEO EMEA Sally Costerton. “His in-depth knowledge of the industry will be of great value to Hill & Knowlton and a large benefit for our clients.”
Ernst Primosch is considered one of the most internationally focused and experienced communications professionals in the German-speaking sector. He is an advocate of a modern and integrated communications style. The renowned or award-winning manager was in charge of communications in 125 countries on four continents, working for Henkel, Siemens, Schwarzkopf and Porter Novelli, i.a. As Austrian-born economist, Primosch has been living in Germany for the past decade where he has successfully positioned and advised several well-known DAX-Chairmen.

Ernst Primosch is an expert in corporate communications, positioning, reputation and crisis management. He is well-known for the re-positioning of the brand manufacturer Henkel and its international Corporate Branding Strategy (“A Brand like a Friend”). He has been Chairman of various associations such as the communication committee of the German Association for Chemical Industry (VCI).
Ernst Primosch is a member of the renowned American Arthur W. Page Society, NY, and sole trustee on board of the American Institute of Public Relations (IPR) with a German-speaking background. Additionally, he teaches at several European universities and institutions of higher education.
Ernst Primosch will initially report to Chairman Dr. Detlev Geiger and assume this role when Dr. Geiger retires in August next year. He will then act as Chairman and CEO in Germany. Further members of the Hill & Knowlton management in Germany are Pascal Frank, Uwe Schaad and Jan Gustavsson as CFO and COO. The appointment of Ernst Primosch as CEO is a significant milestone for Hill & Knowlton Germany. The largest transformation in the history of the company to date will be continued consequently.
